A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of photographing Angel City Football Club's shirts for the upcoming National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) football season. The marketing campaign, created by FOUDYS, aimed to connect Europe's cities and fanbase with a team from the USA. For this commission, we treated the shirt not simply as merchandise, but as a cultural artefact, a symbol of progress and visibility within women’s sport. Barcelona provides a powerful counterpart to that story. The Mediterranean atmosphere, graphic urban courts, coastal textures, and layered architecture reflect a city that is expressive, resilient, and constantly evolving, much like women’s sport itself. The resulting series celebrates the dialogue between sport and city, presenting the shirt as something lived in and carried through space with confidence and pride.
